A 14 mile commute by bike? Wow! You're amazing!

I once biked to high school @ 2.5 miles each way and thought I was going to die. Of course I used to bike 3 miles each way to the beach to go surfing every day without blinking an eye, but...14 miles?!!

That trail is really wonderful the way it can wind through a town and you never know it. And it's so safe and well maintained, unlike most trails in the NY area.

My friend is a Naval Academy alum who has a weekend place on Rt. 100/Mountain Rd just before Gibson Island. The whole area is so beautiful!

I grew up about a mile from that trail! When I was 15, I biked about 7 miles on it each way to my first job at a bagel store, cementing a lifelong appreciation for commuting by bike. It sounds like it was a gorgeous ride.

I love that trail so much. I probably know most of it by heart, from the Severn River Bridge at 450 (technically not part of the trail) to where it drops off at Marley Station Mall to connect to the BWI trail.

Thanks so much for posting that. I'm glad it was such a lovely experience.
