Mystery bike

I saw the perfect bike today on Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn between N4th & N5th St (Greenpoint).  It has deep character, slim frame, beautiful lines, gorgeous color and no branding except “3rd Ward on the crossbar and “member” on the main stem. It’s a work of art that should be in a museum. And I gotta have one! If anyone recognizes it and has an idea where I can get one, please let me know… timtsoup at gmail dot….

Looks like a Don McClung. An awesome old school frame builder in Salida, CO. He doesn’t have a website. A friend of mine got one of his recently. I think his first correspondences with him were through snail mail letters.
I can’t believe that bike is locked up on the city streets with only a cable lock. That think is worth thousands. The owner must have been nearby.

I believe it may be a Worksman Classic Cruiser. They have bicycles very similar to that one in the picture, also they are located at:

    Worksman Cycles Industrial Park
    94-15 100th Street
    Ozone Park, NY 11416

    Local to Brooklyn me thinks…

This is the 3rd Ward bike….made for 3rd Ward by NYC Bikes…free with membership…membership worth the bike in itself.
